HAUNTED WALKING TOUR
The Haunted Walking Tour of Easton began in 2004 as a part of Proud Rennaisance in Downtown Easton's 14th Annual Scarecrow Festival: who's
mission was to build new traditions of rural fun in an urban environment, to install a sense of community in Easton residents and to promote tourism in Downtown Easton.
Pat Eibes-Porter gathered a group of friends, mostly Easton merchants, that just love Halloween and Easton history. The proceeds of this
volunteer led effort would be donated.
Alicia Rambo-Wozniak, Rob Wozniak, Larry Porter, Andrew & Arthur Skrzenski and Elizabeth Judge Wyant joined Pat and decided to produce a
tour with stories from Easton's sordid past. It was to be something different; not just a narrated tour, but one that had scenes that were to be acted out. The Haunted Walking Tour was born!
____
Join our guides and ghouls for hysterics and history in the labyrinth streets of Historic Downtown Easton, PA.
For over 200 years, Easton, Pennsylvania has been the home of many fine
businesses, institutions and people. Lafayette College, Crayola Crayons, famous authors, even one of the signers on the Declaration of Independence have all called Easton their home.
However, Easton 's history has also been occasionally known for its
decadence, ready availability of wine, gambling, and women of LOOOOWWWW character! With its efficient Network of Canals, railroads, and highways, Easton has always been a portal for all types of
trade and travelers.
Then and Today, some people come to Easton to work, and others are always
looking for adventure and a good time, sometimes resulting in their own demise. So join us on a tour of Easton 's darker side. A side that includes tales of Ghosts, Murder, and pure
unadulterated EEEEVVIIILLLLLLL.
...Well, One of our tales is a bit adulterated, but you'll have to wait to hear more about that.
